MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Field Support Technician to join our team in Doral, FL.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- The Field Support Technician provides advanced onsite and remote technical support, specializing in complex troubleshooting and problem resolution
- They diagnose and resolve challenging hardware and software issues, install and configure complex equipment, and provide expert technical assistance to end users and Junior Technicians
- They lead onsite maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting efforts, ensuring minimal disruption to client operations
- They communicate effectively with clients, explaining complex technical concepts clearly and concisely
- They develop and maintain knowledgebase articles and training materials, contributing to the team’s knowledgebase and improving support efficiency
- They also mentor Junior Technicians, providing guidance and support in their professional development
- The Field Support Technician III provides direction and mentorship to subordinate staff
Minimum Qualifications:
- HS diploma; a candidate holding a relevant Bachelor's degree may be granted 2 years’ experience credit for education.
- 7+ years of relevant experience with 5+ years of position relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience troubleshooting complex hardware and software issues, including network troubleshooting and configuration.
- Experience with cybersecurity tools and best practices.
- Experience with end-user device support (desktops, laptops, mobile devices).
- Must obtain at least one of the following certifications within months of starting: CCNA, CompTIA A+, Network+, AZ 104, MD 102 (equivalent, relevant vendor-specific certifications also considered e.g., Microsoft, Cisco).
- Most posses DOD 8570.01 IAT Level II Certification such as Security+.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
- Experience working in a managed services environment.
- Experience with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Experience with scripting and automation tools.
- Experience with advanced cybersecurity incident response and server administration and virtualization.
- Advanced vendor-specific certifications (e.g., MCSE, CCNP), CISSP or other advanced security certifications, ITIL Practitioner (or higher), and Project Management certifications.
- Experience at a DoD Combatant Command (e.g., SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, SPACECOM) or a component is desired.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must have an active TS/SCI clearance.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
- The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
