In this role you will help shape the future of advanced flight training for the world’s most sophisticated aircraft, the F 35 Joint Strike Fighter. Your contributions will directly support mission critical training capabilities that enable pilots to operate safely and effectively in complex combat environments.
As the User Interface and Control Domain Architect, you will:
• Support engineering, program management, business development and program teams
• Lead product level architecture development activities aligned to contract cost and schedule constraints
• Drive model-based and engineering principles
• Ensure the logical and detailed conversion of customer needs into total systems solutions
• Guarantee that the requirements baseline is fully documented, traced, and is maintained.
• Confirm all requirements are adequately validated through the architecture.
We are a collaborative team of interdisciplinary subject matter experts dedicated to analyzing and documenting system requirements in order to design, develop, and integrate training systems solutions.
You are a thought leader with experience architecting training simulation solutions with a passion for building partnerships with customers to develop innovative solutions to meet their evolving training needs. You have a background in technical architecture with a focus in simulated environments.

Experienced technical architect with advanced knowledge of simulation and modeling
Experience with Software Intensive systems and/or large-scale software/system integration activities
Full Engineering Life Cycle experiences, driving from customer proposal requests, through contract award, program execution, delivery and product sustainment.
Background in leading development of intuitive user interfaces for command, control, scenario generation, and debrief for fighter jet platform training systems.
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering/technical discipline from an accredited college in a related discipline with 12+ years of professional experience.
Prior experience with C++, C#, and Microsoft Foundation Class
Demonstrated ability to understand and communicate very sophisticated problems and implement constructive change
Strong System development background with experience in decomposition of customer requirements to system and subsystem level requirements in DOORS or DOORS NextGen.
F-35 Domain knowledge
Effective communication at all levels of organizational structure
Experience with transition of designs through product deployment for the defense market
Experience in defining the architecture and design for large IT systems in classified environments
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
