Private Equity Fund Admin Analyst

Job Summary:

As an Analyst in J.P. Morgan, you will operate in a client centric, end to end model. You will work in a team that has full ownership of all aspects of fund administration including but not limited to client services, financial reporting, investor relations, and capital event servicing.  If you want to develop the skill sets required to service al facets of a private markets fund, then this may be the role for you!  A routine day could have an Analyst balancing deal funding processes while managing an audit as well as investor queries simultaneously. This brings a great level of dynamism to the role.

Job Responsibilities: 

• A culture carrier for J.P. Morgan's Business Principles supporting Diversity, Opportunity and Inclusion across the organisation.

• Supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting, audit, and reporting functions for a portfolio of closed ended and semi closed ended private equity and debt funds. 

• Responsible for LP / investors' capital calls, distributions, investor financial reports and capital statements. 

• Building strong and meaningful relationships with Client stakeholders through a keen understanding of contractual and service delivery agreements with a dedication to excellent execution against agreed deliveries.

• Successful execution of the function's control frameworks through high quality execution of checklists and procedure production, successful partnerships with Business Control functions as well as Internal Audits.

• Design, build and implement solutions to eliminate manual processes and reduce risk.

• Responsible for the timely escalation of both successes and issues to Senior Management.

Preferred Qualifications and Requirements

• A proactive attitude demonstrating the ability to multi-task and work to tight reporting deadlines. Organisation and planning skills are key to the role.
• Dedicated to doing the right thing showing ownership and accountability. 
• Data literate, understanding the importance of data as well as its maintenance and governance. Proven acumen of Alteryx is a distinct advantage. 
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A qualified/part-qualified accountant or with proven experience in accounting with exposure to US/Lux/UK GAAP and IFRS and a willingness to complete accountancy qualifications.
• Prior experience in Private Equity fund administration or alternatives funds industry preferred. 
• FIS Investran or Arcesium or equivalent double entry accounting platform knowledge a distinct advantage.
