We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Cryptography Infrastructure Engineering Lead.

You’ll have the opportunity to take a leading role in shaping and delivering core cryptography services aligning delivery to the capability owner’s strategy, target architecture, and roadmap, and strengthening security at scale across the organisation.

In this role you’ll:

  • Lead the design and delivery of core cryptography services, aligned to the capability owner’s strategy
  • Own the delivery of services that provide our core cryptographic solutions, ensuring cryptography is used safely and compliantly across the organisation.
  • Oversee the lifecycle management of cryptography hardware and software solutions driving global compliance with cryptography requirements and standards
  • Deliver improvements to the operation and handling of core cryptography services, partnering with support teams and business areas to align cryptography services to business objectives
  • Work with regulatory compliance, cloud cryptography, and strategic solution teams to define requirements and feed into the cryptography strategy
  • Provide regular status and service reporting to senior management, including delivery progress and operational performance
  • Maintain awareness of emerging cryptography developments and broader security best practice
  • Recommend and implement technologies and approaches that strengthen cryptographic services and improve our overall security posture

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Hands-on experience with hardware security modules, certificate authorities, and cryptography solutions, including managing hardware security modules using one or more of the following: Entrust, Luna, or PayShield
  • Strong knowledge of common cyber security frameworks, standards, and methodologies, including national institute of standards and technology standards, federal information processing standards, and the payment card industry data security standards
  • Proven information security experience with a focus on cryptographic services, including a strong understanding of cryptographic principles, algorithms, and protocols
  • Excellent understanding of cyber security principles, global financial services business models, and regional compliance standards, including relevant local regulations and applicable laws
  • Background in information systems, technology, architecture, design, and service delivery of defence-in-depth capabilities
  • Demonstrated leadership of large, complex programmes, with recognised deep technical expertise at a global level, alongside proven people and team management experience
  • End-to-end experience across hardware security modules, covering design, testing, implementation, and configuration
