WHAT WE’RE DOING
Lockheed Martin pioneers advanced technologies to control the electromagnetic spectrum and develops disruptive solutions that outpace adversary threats. In the air, on land, and at sea we deliver integrated systems that give warfighters a complete picture of the battlespace and unimpeded use of the spectrum. This position supports the development of diagnostics software for the MH‑60R/S platform avionics, ensuring the health‑management capability needed for mission success.
THE WORK
Key Responsibilities
- Support RMS mission areas with long‑term planning, technology insertion, and solution‑architecture decisions.
- Develop and communicate RMS Diagnostics and Testability architectural features.
- Translate mission needs/requirements into total‑mission system solutions while accounting for H‑60 platform design and technology‑maturity constraints.
- Design next‑gen mission‑system architecture, interfaces, and element definitions.
- Convert architecture analysis into actionable product‑development roadmaps.
- Manage budgets, schedules, and performance standards for NHP Diagnostics software.
- Participate in internal and external mission‑system design reviews.
- Create multi‑domain NHP diagnostics solutions for Line‑of‑Business and Business‑Development initiatives.
- Stay current on emerging technologies, design, and analysis methodologies; develop models and architectural guidelines for future mission‑system efforts.
- Coordinate with Business Development and Government Affairs to align customer requirements and architectures.
- Build and lead cross‑functional teams (internal stakeholders, suppliers, mission partners, USG labs).
- Lead Diagnostics SW development updates and releases across multiple aircraft configurations/part numbers.
- Generate and maintain diagnostics software requirements, design, process, and drawing documentation.
- Perform diagnostics analysis (AWS, SRS, testability, DAR, IDD, SDD, IBA/FMET).
- Plan long‑term diagnostics development and testing (simulation, lab, regression, aircraft).
- Evaluate capability functions, assess operational performance, and identify maturation opportunities for Air‑Vehicle Diagnostics subsystems.
- Conduct system‑engineering activities (specifying, architecting, modeling, testing, sustaining) to achieve diagnostic and prognostic objectives (fault detection, failure isolation).
- Collaborate with other diagnostics SMEs across RMS, leveraging common architecture tools and techniques.
