THE WORK

The Supplier Quality Field Engineer is a virtual position that REQUIRES FREQUENT travel to regional supplier locations around the Midwest, including but not limited to Texas, Ohio, Michigan, and Illinois. Candidate's residence must be located within 60 miles of an airport in one of those four states. May be assigned regionally but must be ready, willing, and able to support wherever needed. Regions include: Northeast/Mid-Atlantic, Central/Mid West, Pacific/North West, South East/South West. May occasionally require travel to other US and international regions.

• Collaborates with internal quality, engineering and manufacturing functions and suppliers to ensure quality standards and product requirements are met.
• Ensures supplier contract requirements are implemented and verified.
• Monitors quality control activities and systems at supplier facilities and maintains feedback loops.
• Performs surveillance ensuring supplier's conformance to company and program requirements.
• Performs source inspections (both in process and final), first articles, manufacturing process validations, source surveillance and special process audits, as applicable.
• Provides internal and supplier support for root cause and corrective/preventive actions related to supplier discrepancies.
• Supports supplier failure investigations as required. Ensures control of supplier nonconforming items, conduct analyses and monitor effectiveness of corrective actions at the supplier.

A level 2 employee is typically junior-career and has 1+ years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications

-1yr+ experience conducting quality audits for quality management systems and special processes

- Excellent Communication Skills and ability to work independently

- Familiarity Quality Assurance principles, including AS9100 and/or root cause analysis techniques.

- Must be able to travel to regional supplier locations

-Ability to perform surveys/audits at supplier locations

Desired Skills

- Experience with Nadcap processes

- Experience with FAA Repair Stations

- AS9100 Audit certification preferred

Ability to Work Remotely: Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $73,400 - $127,075. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $63,800 - $112,470. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
