Job Description Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic, curious, and ambitious individual who is passionate about
working in a dynamic environment. As the Marketing Procurement Manager, you will play a
pivotal role in supporting the Head of Procurement in delivering the AA Group Procurement
Marketing Strategy. Your mission will be to maximise the value from third-party spend, driving
cost reduction, cost avoidance, return on investment, working capital benefits, and revenue
generation. You will also have a significant impact on supplier performance management, risk,
compliance, and business continuity related to the supply of services to the AA Group
businesses.
You will work across multiple marketing categories, where your knowledge and experience will
be essential. These categories include:
ATL & BTL Creative, Media, Digital Performance (PPC/SEO), CRM, Direct Marketing, Marketing
Print and Fulfilment, Research, PR, Events, Sponsorships, Merchandising
The Individual
Essential Capability, Knowledge and Experience:
• Marketing procurement experience, including category planning, delivery and
managing marketing stakeholders and agency relationships
• Extensive negotiation and contract cycle management expertise
• Strong influencing skills to work with and influence a broad cross-section of
stakeholders
• Commercial expertise and critical analysis to drive and deliver business improvement
opportunities across the business
• Experience in business partnering with functional stakeholders to include Marketing,
Finance, Risk, IT, Legal
• Good understanding of procurement strategy, policy, process and systems
• Good experience in using AI tools to drive effectiveness and efficiencies in the
delivery of procurement

Outline of Key Role Responsibilities
Strategy Development
• Support the Head of Procurement in the delivery and implementation of a marketing
strategy, including annual category plans and a roadmap, in line with the Group
Marketing strategy and corporate policies. Your goal will be to drive effectiveness and
efficiencies
Strategy Implementation
• Lead on the sourcing strategy, selection, contract negotiation and execution,
management of suppliers
• Lead and implement projects to support savings delivery and risk mitigation with
ownership of a savings target and other key procurement metrics
• Identify opportunities to generate efficiencies and improve cost and revenue,
leveraging our preferred / or new suppliers to deliver cost reduction, provide market
insight, revenue generation and operational efficiency
External supplier relationships
• Lead SRM for key strategic suppliers and embed a robust performance management
• Lead on seeking insights into external market dynamics, and other external
influencing factors
Business Partnering
• Build strategic relationships with stakeholders, to understand business requirements,
influence strategy and identify opportunities to create value and position
procurement’s value proposition
• Manage senior level stakeholders and challenge thinking, strategy or decisions by
bringing strong commercial knowledge and market insights
Governance
• Working with the Procurement Analysts, leverage and maintain all MI and reporting
data leveraging the SAP Ariba procurement system, including contracts, supplier
classification and savings tracking
• Perform spend analysis and data manipulation in order to make sound commercial
decisions
• Champion the Procurement Policy and guidelines across functions and ensure that
they are consistently followed ensuring compliance and meeting statutory, regulatory
and supplier governance obligations
