Waters has an exciting and challenging opportunity available for an Order Operations Specialist to support Instrument Centre of Excellence (COE) team and consumables. This position's primary responsibility is to manage all orders to cash processes covering Waters business for instruments. Consumables.  Based in Bangalore and will report to Order Operations manager/Order Operations Team Lead, India and functionally to Instrument COE Leader.

The successful candidate for this position shall own ability to work independently in a fast-paced work environment and execute daily routine tasks with great attention to details and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process orders through the full cycle from order entry to invoicing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Waters guidelines and policies. Activities include, but are not limited to: SAP entry, order preparation, order confirmations/proforma invoices, and invoicing
  • Liaise with relevant internal and external parties to manage Requested delivery date (RDD) of sales orders on customer requirements and on-time sales conversion
  • Ensure all necessary documentation is planned and prepared accurately to enable transit from origin to destination without delays and in accordance with customer’s need and foreign trade regulations
  • Preparation and submission of bank documents and liaison with the banks
  • Monitor backlogs to expedite deliveries with no past due dates
  • Perform closing activities weekly, monthly and during quarter end
  • Close collaboration with Global Operations team to ensure efficient operation from distribution, Import/Export, warehouse related activities and freight forwarders to ensure on time delivery to our customers
  • Strong partner with sales and finance to fulfil customer’s satisfaction
  • Provide post-sales support such as physical return, replacement, and others
  • Propose process improvement activities to streamline work process and build operation excellence 
  • Perform back-up / standby duties and extend training to team members to ensure smooth daily Order Operations to support business growth
  • Bachelor’s degree in commercial/business management, logistics discipline or other discipline with minimum of 7-9 years’ working experience in Customer Service/ order management/ logistics
  • Multi-national company experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in office software (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), with knowledge of SAP
