React/Consultant Specialist

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist 

In this role, you will:

• Develop responsive, accessible web UIs using modern JavaScript/TypeScript and frameworks (React/Angular/Vue).
• Use GitHub Copilot to accelerate delivery (scaffolding components, generating tests, refactoring), applying strong engineering judgement and review discipline.
• Translate UX designs and user stories into reusable components and front-end architecture aligned to a design system.
• Maintain Node.js-based build tooling (npm/yarn/pnpm scripts, Vite/Webpack, linting/formatting, environment configuration).
• Integrate UIs with APIs (REST/GraphQL), including authentication/authorisation patterns where required.
• Optimise performance (bundle size, rendering, caching) and ensure cross-browser compatibility.Write automated tests (unit/integration/e2e) and contribute to CI/CD quality gates.
• Participate in code reviews, uphold coding standards, and support production releases and defect resolution.
• Document solutions and share knowledge on effective, responsible use of AI tools within the team.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements: 

• 7+ years building modern web UIs in professional environments.
• Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript.
• Strong experience with a modern front-end framework (React preferred; Angular/Vue acceptable).
• Demonstrable, hands-on experience using GitHub Copilot (or equivalent) in day-to-day development to improve speed and quality.
• Solid Node.js fundamentals for front-end builds and tooling (package management, scripts, bundling).
• Strong understanding of accessibility (WCAG), security basics (XSS/CSRF), and performance optimisation.
• Experience integrating with REST/GraphQL APIs.
• Testing experience with Jest/Testing Library and Cypress/Playwright (or equivalents). Experience with Git workflows and CI/CD practices
