We're seeking a future team member for the role of Director, Senior Product Manager to join our AI Hub Engineering team. This role is located in New York

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Collaborate with internal business groups to define and deliver high-impact AI/ML products and solutions.
  • Lead the strategic vision and roadmap for AI-driven features and components, ensuring alignment with business objectives and scalability to support growth.
  • Provide advanced guidance on AI product strategy and technical leadership across multiple areas to drive organizational and functional effectiveness.
  • Own the end-to-end AI product lifecycle, from inception to delivery, including effective integration with enterprise data systems.
  • Support strategic leadership in identifying and prioritizing AI initiatives to maximize business value, minimize risk, and grow the program.
  • Consult with IT and business managers on AI-related issues and opportunities.
  • Solve complex business problems through AI solutions, focusing on measurable impact on the corporation's bottom line.
  • Define product requirements, develop user stories, and prioritize backlog to ensure delivery of well-designed, testable, and efficient AI solutions.
  • Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to inform AI product strategy.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure AI product success and ROI.
  • Actively participate in product reviews and demos.
  • Ensure AI products adhere to security, privacy, and ethical AI principles.
  • Influence broad-based AI strategy for large IT Divisions.
  • Engage in continuous learning and stay abreast of emerging AI technologies.
  • Educate business leaders on AI strategies and prepare compelling presentations on AI product value propositions.
  • Advocate for innovative, creative AI solutions.
  • Mentor junior product managers and foster a culture of AI-driven innovation.
  • Contribute to the achievement of AI product development objectives.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or a related discipline required; advanced degree is beneficial. MBA or product management certification is a plus.
  • 12+ years of experience in product management or AI/ML product development required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is highly desirable.
  • Deep understanding of AI/ML technologies, their business applications, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching AI products that have delivered significant commercial impact and ROI.
  • Strong experience in agile methodologies and product development lifecycles.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with data science teams, engineers, and business stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate AI product vision and value to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience in defining and tracking product metrics, conducting market research, and performing competitive analysis in the AI space.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and make data-driven decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in mentoring and developing team members.


BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $127,000 and $220,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. 
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
