JOB DESCRIPTION

Help deliver branch renovations that strengthen our communities and elevate the client and banker experience. In this role, you’ll lead disciplined, end-to-end execution across planning, design, construction, and close-out. You’ll partner across internal teams and external vendors to deliver projects safely, on time, on budget, and to brand standards. If you thrive in complex, multi-stakeholder environments and bring strong financial oversight, you’ll have a highly visible opportunity to drive real outcomes.

As a Project Manager Senior in the Chase Retail Branch Design & Construction team, you lead end-to-end oversight of branch renovation projects within your assigned region, ensuring disciplined governance, clear role ownership, and consistent delivery outcomes. You will work with us to provide strong financial oversight, cost justification, and funding governance while keeping delivery teams aligned to standards and controls. We’ll count on you to resolve issues quickly through defined escalation paths, guide continuous improvement, and coordinate internal partners and vendors from concept through turnover.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead escalation, communication, and continuous improvement by enforcing escalation protocols, delivering executive-ready updates, and converting feedback into sustained improvements
  • Drive financial discipline and governance through budget approval, cost justification, capital package review, variance management, and funding requests
  • Ensure sourcing and controls integrity by guiding competitive bidding, supporting vendor selection/performance, and reviewing approvals for commitments, invoices, and change orders (as applicable)
  • Coordinate cross-phase execution across planning, design/engineering, construction, procurement/installation (as applicable), readiness/occupancy, and close-out
  • Lead end-to-end program delivery with Program Managers and Service Partner project managers from intake/prioritization through close-out and turnover
  • Set and reinforce clear expectations with internal partners and external suppliers across the refresh lifecycle
  • Monitor design and construction performance to ensure adherence to standards, contracts, and schedule/cost expectations
  • Support workload planning and sequencing to meet deadlines across assigned scope
  • Provide operational risk awareness and assessment, including oversight of highly technical workstreams as needed
  • Understand and enforce required policies and procedures to support compliant execution and approvals
  • Support training and development for internal and external delivery teams to strengthen delivery standards and grow the talent base

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, Business, or a related field
  • 7 years of experience in real estate, design and construction, project/program management, or similar delivery roles
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent projects of varying size/complexity with budget and schedule accountability
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and execute in a matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
  • Demonstrated financial acumen including budgeting, estimating, pricing analysis, cost justification, and comfort with governance/approvals
  • Proficiency in Excel and comfort with financial management and modeling
  • Knowledge of end-to-end project delivery phases including planning, design, scheduling, procurement, construction, and close-out/turnover
  • Demonstrated conflict management, negotiation, and vendor management skills, including enforcing standards, contractual requirements, and internal policies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive-ready materials and meeting facilitation
  • Ability to learn and use proprietary project management systems/technology quickly and effectively, with strong Microsoft Office proficiency

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Master’s degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, Business, or a related field
  • Experience in renovation and real estate investment programs and/or construction service partner models
  • Familiarity with bid review governance and general contractor sourcing
  • Experience coordinating building infrastructure and support systems workstreams and partnering with technical teams (Architectural and Engineering, Structured Cabling, Audio Visual, and Security Systems)
  • Experience driving vendor/service partner performance management and supporting development initiatives
