Role Summary
The SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) Senior Consultant responsible for the design, configuration and implementation of SuccessFactors ECP.
This role requires hands‑on experience delivering end‑to‑end ECP implementations, from design through go‑live and post‑go‑live stabilisation.
Key Responsibilities
ECP Solution Design & Delivery
- Lead the end‑to‑end implementation of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll, including design, configuration, deployment and hypercare.
- Configure ECP payroll schemas, rules, wage types, calendars, and Payroll Control Centre (PCC).
- Design payroll solutions aligned to country‑specific legislative and statutory requirements (e.g. tax, social insurance, statutory payments).
- Act as the primary ECP design authority, owning design decisions and solution integrity.
Support the Integration & Data Replication
- Liaise with other teams Employee Central Leads and Integration Leads for the data replication to ensure data consistency and payroll accuracy, including:
- Job Information
- Compensation Information
- Pay components (recurring and one‑time)
- Monitor, analyse, and resolve replication and payroll validation issues.
Payroll Operations & Statutory Compliance
- Support payroll processing activities including:
- Payroll simulations and validations
- Regular and off‑cycle payroll runs
- Post‑payroll reconciliation and sign‑off
- Ensure compliance with local statutory reporting and regulatory submissions.
- Support audits and internal payroll assurance activities.
Testing, Cutover & Stabilisation
- Support ECP input into:
- Unit testing, System and integration testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Parallel payroll runs
- Support payroll cutover and post‑go‑live stabilisation, ensuring minimal payroll risks.
- Provide structured knowledge transfer and handover to BAU payroll teams where required.
Stakeholder & Delivery Leadership
- Act as a senior SME in design workshops, solution walkthroughs.
- Support RFPs, solution scoping, staffing plans, and delivery estimates where required.
- Produce clear documentation including payroll designs, configuration rationales, and workbooks.

Certifications
- SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) Certification – Mandatory
Experience
- Proven experience delivering SAP SuccessFactors ECP across, at least two full implementation cycles, including:
- Design
- Build and configuration
- Payroll testing and parallel runs
- Go‑live and stabilisation
- Strong hands‑on knowledge of:
- SAP Payroll concepts (schemas, wage types, payroll areas, calendars)
- Payroll Control Centre (PCC)
- EC‑driven payroll configuration
- Experience working in global HR landscapes.
Functional & Delivery Skills
- Strong understanding of payroll‑relevant Employee Central objects and data models.
- Ability to operate effectively in fast‑paced, delivery‑critical programmes.
- Excellent stakeholder communication and issue‑resolution skills.
- Comfortable working in consulting or system‑integrator delivery models.
Preferred / Desirable
- Experience leading ECP delivery
- Multi‑country payroll experience (Italy, UK, EMEA desirable)
