Job Title: Data Analyst

Location: Preston or Frimley. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £32,000 - £40,000 depending on experience and skills

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Will be responsible for delivering packages of work containing a range of analysis, reporting and /or visualisation tasks to time, quality and budget. Sometimes they will direct other team member’s work as part of this delivery
  • They will actively contribute to the scoping, requirement capture and design of data analytics, reporting and visualisation solutions to address routine customer business questions or needs
  • They will use our technical processes when developing work plans, and ensure the work is conducted in line with these. Defines simple project plans, in line with our project processes, with the support of a senior colleague
  • Takes a role in training junior team members to develop their technical skills and knowledge
  • They will strive to develop advanced data & analytics skills, applying these effectively to improve the outcomes of their work package
  • Builds relationships with customer peers to support effective delivery

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Proven record of building or contributing to Data & Analytics products
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Tableau and Alteryx toolsets (desirable) or other similar analytics toolset
  • An analytical mind set, as well as an inquisitive, methodical approach
  • Enthusiastic about developing your knowledge and skills, and sharing your learning through working with others
  • A degree in a numerate subject, or equivalent experience

Desirable:

  • Experience of working in an Agile Scrum team

The Shared Services Data & Analytics Hub team:

The Data Analyst will be responsible for delivering packages of work containing a range of analysis, reporting and /or visualisation tasks, sometimes directing other team members work as part of this delivery. They will lead the scoping and definition of solutions to routine business problems, planning the work in accordance with SSDA technical and project processes.
