JOB DESCRIPTION

Join the Payments & Lending Innovation team with Card & Connected Commerce, where talented product leaders are revolutionizing payment experiences and platforms, transforming how customers make payments and fostering the growth of digital payments.

 As an Executive Director of General Management, you should be a highly curious, seasoned general management leader experienced in product innovation in digital payments. You should have a track record of defining long term product strategy and leading successful product launches (zero to one builds and product refreshes). You must be customer obsessed and use customer data and insights to develop strategy, and have strong collaboration skills with our Quad partners (Product, Design, Engineering and Data and Analytics) and key cross functional partners. You must have a keen eye to the competitive landscape. And, you will be comfortable leading through ambiguity, adapting to internal and competitive market dynamics.  

 Job responsibilities:

  •  Lead P&L development and all aspects of the go-to market strategy
  • Drive Strategic development of new digital payment products including defining core value propositions, target audiences, and customer benefits
  • Develop product constructs for new digital payment products and bring products to market  
  • Develop deep understanding of customer and stakeholder needs to inform strategy
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team of Marketing, Product, Analytics, Legal, Finance, Design, and Risk Management partners to ensure the product strategy meets business objectives and customer needs  
  • Develop market assessments and business cases and oversee ongoing financial forecasting and budgeting in partnership with Finance and Risk  
  • Manage executive stakeholder relationships and regularly communicate updates on the product strategy, progress, and performance
  • Lead and develop a team of general managers; foster an environment of development and collaboration  
  • Collaborate with and influence a team of cross-functional partners to ensure a strong risk and controls environment (e.g., Risk, Controls, Legal, Compliance)

 Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • 10+ years of experience in financial services and product strategy and general management with demonstrated ability to launch and scale new products  
  • Experience driving change within large, highly matrixed organizations and managing stakeholders across multiple functions
  • Passion for understanding customer needs and translating them to actionable insights and strategies
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Able to analyze opportunities, recommend solutions, and communicate effectively (both verbal and written) to all levels of management
  • Track record of strong people leadership and engagement across diverse teams
  • Strong track record of managing risk and controls
  • Bachelor’s degree

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Fintech background, digital wallets or payments experience preferred
  • Experience in financial modeling preferred
