Credit, Fraud & Decision Management (CFDM) is a core analytics and decisioning organization supporting Barclays’ US Consumer Banking businesses. Within CFDM, the Banking Products Analytics team delivers insights across loans, deposits, and emerging products, while advancing analytics modernization through cloud adoption, automation, and AI-enabled analytics.

To be successful in this role as a “Banking Product Analytics AVP , you should possess the following skillsets:

·        Experience in data science, advanced analytics, or quantitative analytics, with demonstrated application in complex, regulated business environments.

·        Hands-on experience in banking product analytics, including product performance, customer behaviour, pricing, campaign analytics, portfolio management, or related analytical disciplines.

·        Strong foundation in statistical analysis, machine learning, and advanced analytical techniques, with the ability to apply them to practical business problems.

·        Experience using analytics programming and data platforms commonly used in banking environments (e.g., Python, SQL, SAS or equivalent), including working with large datasets and production-oriented analytical processes.

·        Exposure to modern analytics and AI capabilities, including GenAI, LLM-enabled analytics, automation, or enterprise knowledge solutions, with the ability to evaluate relevant use cases for business application.

·        Experience managing analytical workstreams independently, producing high-quality outputs, and supporting or mentoring junior analysts where needed.

·        Ability to translate business questions into analytical approaches and partner effectively with Product, Technology, Risk, Controls, and Business stakeholders to deliver insights and recommendations.

Some other highly valued skills include:

·        Experience across both deposit and lending analytics, including campaign targeting, offer optimization, customer behaviour analysis, and portfolio monitoring.

·        Understanding of data governance, data quality, and controls needed to develop scalable, auditable, and production-ready analytical solutions.

·        Experience supporting analytics modernization initiatives, including cloud migration, automation, reusable analytical assets, or process simplification.

·        Strong communication skills with the ability to present analytical findings clearly to cross-functional partners and senior stakeholders.

·        Awareness of responsible AI principles, model risk considerations, and regulatory expectations relevant to advanced analytics in financial services.

Purpose of the role

To enable data-driven strategic and operational decision making through extracting actionable insights from large datasets, performing statistical and advanced analytics to uncover trends and patterns, and presenting findings through clear visualisations and reports.

Accountabilities

  • Investigation and analysis of data issues related to quality, lineage, controls, and authoritative source identification, documenting data sources, methodologies, and quality findings with recommendations for improvement.
  • Designing and building data pipelines to automate data movement and processing.
  • Apply advanced analytical techniques to large datasets to uncover trends and correlations, develop validated logical data models, and translate insights into actionable business recommendations that drive operational and process improvements, leveraging machine learning/AI.
  • Through data-driven analysis, translate analytical findings into actionable business recommendations, identifying opportunities for operational and process improvements.
  • Design and create interactive dashboards and visual reports using applicable tools and automate reporting processes for regular and ad-hoc stakeholder needs.
