Salary: Circa £60,000 + bonus scheme

Job Description:

This is a great opportunity for a Senior Tax Analyst with a keen interest in technology to play a key role within Group Tax. You will support a range of tax operational activities, using automation and innovative tools to enhance efficiency and ensure compliance across taxes, primarily focussing on corporate taxes, but with opportunities to be involved in other areas such as VAT and employment taxes. Working closely with internal Finance and Shared Services teams, as well as external providers, you will help deliver high-quality, fully analysed tax data, while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and broader tax projects within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

Core duties:

  • Drive continuous improvement across tax operations, with a focus on automation and technology adoption
  • Support day-to-day tax operational activities across a range of taxes, primarily focussing on corporate taxes, but with opportunities to be involved in other areas such as , VAT and employment taxes
  • Use technology, including robotic process automation, machine learning and dashboard tools, to ensure compliance, enhance efficiency and improve processes
  • Partner with our shared services and finance teams, and outsourced filing provider to ensure compliance filing deadlines are monitored and met.
  • Support wider tax compliance and advisory activities, including areas such as UK and international Corporate tax, Pillar II, transfer pricing, employment tax and VAT
  • Operate within and ensure compliance with tax governance requirements
  • Actively manage CPD, ensuring a good breadth of technical and power skills
  • Ad hoc advisory and Group Tax projects

Essential Skills:

  • ATT qualified (or equivalent) as a minimum; CTA qualification desirable
  • Experience working within an in-house tax team or a professional tax services firm, with Big 4experience advantageous
  • Proven experience using tax technology and data tools to improve processes and efficiency, tools such as Alteryx, Power BI or Tableau are preferred

The Tax Team:

You’ll be joining a collaborative and forward-thinking Group Tax team that plays a key role within the wider Finance function. The team works closely with Finance Operations, Shared Services and external providers to deliver high-quality tax compliance and reporting, while also driving continuous improvement across processes and technology. With a focus on innovation and development, the team offers exposure to a broad range of tax areas and opportunities to get involved in projects that support both operational excellence and strategic tax initiatives.
