Underwriting Ratings Manager will lead and continuously evolve the organisation's Rating capabilities to ensure the effectiveness of Underwriting rates for D&G UK
This critical role is responsible for establishing and maintaining strong governance over rating processes and systems ensuring that rates are accurately assessed, monitored and deployed into the key rating systems used across in the UK.
The role will also ensure compliance with Underwriting processes and industry best practices in the UK and ROI regions where the organisation operates.
This role will drive the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of UW Rating frameworks, tools, and processes aligned to regulatory expectations and business needs.

The role is accountable for ensuring continuity of our Rating systems and the outputs used for key business units including Finance, Clients, pricing and Call centres. The role is central to the UW rating transformation program to move the system to WIB in the future requiring strong technical and management skills to handle the volume of rating schemes live in the UK across multiple clients and rating systems. The role is accountable for the governance and tracking of rating changes with a key lead with auditors and process management.

The role interacts with Head of Finance, Underwriting Managers, Head of Pricing, Client teams, Tech, Product managers to balance key requests with continuous delivery and monitoring of the rating that sits within Underwriting parameters.
