About the Role
As a Senior UX Researcher I, you will lead research for AI‑powered legal product experiences and strategic innovation initiatives. You will work closely with product, design, and engineering partners, engage directly with legal professionals, and translate complex research findings into clear guidance that shapes product direction. This role offers the opportunity to influence AI‑enabled experiences while mentoring researchers and advancing best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex, multi‑method UX research initiatives across AI‑enabled product areas
  • Plan and execute generative, evaluative, and strategic research studies
  • Partner with product managers, designers, engineers, and AI practitioners to inform product strategy and experiences
  • Conduct rapid discovery research in fast‑moving product development environments
  • Engage directly with customers and legal professionals to understand workflows, behaviors, and unmet needs
  • Translate research insights into actionable product and business recommendations
  • Use analytics, behavioral data, and AI‑assisted tools to support synthesis and insight generation
  • Mentor and guide researchers on methods, storytelling, and stakeholder engagement

Requirements

  • Strong experience conducting end‑to‑end UX research using qualitative and quantitative methods
  • Experience independently leading complex research initiatives from planning through communication
  • Demonstrated experience conducting generative and discovery research
  • Hands‑on experience using Generative AI tools to support research workflows or analysis
  • Ability to synthesize ambiguity into clear, strategic guidance
  • Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills
  • Experience collaborating with product, design, engineering, and data‑focused teams
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast‑paced environments with minimal oversight

Primary Location Base Pay Range: New York, NY $114,300 - $190,500. This job is eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
