This role sits within a core technology function responsible for building and maintaining resilient, secure, and well‑controlled infrastructure in a large‑scale, regulated environment.

To be successful as an Infrastructure Engineer, you should have experience with :

  • A good level of hands‑on experience building and supporting infrastructure services using configuration and automation tools, with demonstrable exposure to Chef in production environments.
  • Well‑developed working knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems, with the ability to use Shell and PowerShell scripting to automate routine tasks and improve platform reliability.
  • A good understanding of application server platforms, preferably JWS Tomcat, with experience supporting applications built using the Spring Boot framework.

Some other highly valued skills may include:

  • Working knowledge of GitLab, with practical experience contributing to or maintaining CI/CD pipelines supporting application delivery.
  • Familiarity with relational database technologies, preferably Oracle DB Server, including basic administration or infrastructure‑level support.
  • Exposure to Docker‑based containerisation and deploying workloads onto IBM OpenShift Container Platform within an enterprise environment.

You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job‑specific technical skills.
