We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Associate Director, Control Manager
In this role you will :
- Lead end-to-end delivery of regulator-ready responses for examinations and reviews covering customer data lifecycle controls (collection, use, movement, storage, retention, individual rights and governance) across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring accuracy, clarity and consistency.
- Interpret regulatory requests, map them to relevant internal controls, and orchestrate the production of clear, regulatory-ready evidence (e.g., RoPA, DPIAs, data flow maps, retention schedules, control logs, policies / standards and cross-border transfer mechanisms).
- Partner with SMEs, control owners, technology and business teams to obtain detailed inputs, validate evidence, and resolve gaps or inconsistencies.
- Ensure responses progress through defined quality gates, including peer review and assurance.
- Monitor regulatory and industry trends in data risk and controls, anticipate emerging examination themes, and drive post-engagement lessons learned and continuous improvement.
- Coach, mentor and develop Regulatory Engagement Specialists to strengthen domain capability, writing quality and consistency of delivery.
To be successful you will :
- 7+ years’ experience in data risk and controls, privacy / data governance, or information security, with direct ownership of responses to regulatory requests for information.
- Deep working knowledge of technology-enabled data lifecycle controls covering consent/choice, notices, data use, data movement/sharing (including cross-border transfers), storage/retention and records management, and individuals’ rights and how these controls are evidenced through artefacts, logs and operating procedures.
- Experience engaging across multiple regulators and jurisdictions in parallel (e.g., MAS, HKMA, RBI, FCA and/or equivalents), including managing differing expectations, timelines and evidence standards.
- Ability to translate complex technical and control information into clear, structured, regulator-ready narratives (what the control is, how it operates, how it’s tested/assured, and what evidence proves it).
- Proven experience working across control owners, SMEs, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Legal and business teams to gather inputs, resolve gaps, and drive timely sign-off. Strong leadership and coaching skills, with experience guiding specialist teams . Excellent written communications skills and the ability to challenge inconsistencies or unclear information
- Strong understanding of risk and control frameworks, regulations and industry guidelines relevant to your domain
(e.g. NIST, GDPR, COBIT, ISO 27001, ITIL) - Ability to manage multiple concurrent engagements with senior stakeholders in a fast-moving environment,
balancing pace with accuracy, confidentiality and auditability. - Desirable Skills / Certifications- Experience in regulatory engagements in financial services
