What you will do:
• Own the Finance & Treasury Product domain, ensuring Metro Bank’s products are supported by accurate, scalable and
well-controlled financial and reporting capabilities
• Translate customer journeys into clear accounting, treasury and data requirements, ensuring every transaction is recorded
and reported correctly
• Partner with teams across Product, Engineering, Finance, Treasury, Risk and Operations to design how money flows
through the bank — from customer interaction through to financial outputs
• Shape how our platform supports key products including lending, deposits, payments and cards, defining the rules, data
and controls needed to support them
• Ensure the right data is captured at the right point, enabling high-quality reporting, regulatory compliance and strong
financial governance
• Drive transparency and traceability, linking customer activity to financial outcomes and ensuring confidence in reporting
and controls
• Collaborate with Finance and Treasury teams to support liquidity, funding, client money and financial risk management
requirements
• Help design and embed strong financial controls, including reconciliation, audit trails, close processes and exception
management
• Support the migration and validation of existing products and balances, ensuring continuity, accuracy and minima
disruption
• Contribute to testing and validation, ensuring solutions deliver the right outcomes for customers, colleagues and regulators

What you will need:
• Extensive, hands-on experience working with accounting flows, ledger structures (general ledger and sub-ledgers),
reconciliations and financial controls within a banking or financial services environment — this is essential
• Proven ability to translate complex financial and accounting requirements into product and technology solutions,
confidently bridging business, finance and engineering teams
• Strong understanding of how banking products (lending, deposits, payments, cards) generate financial events, and how
these flow through to accounting, reporting and control frameworks
• Experience designing or working with posting logic, chart of accounts, and reconciliation processes, with a clear
appreciation of control, audit and regulatory expectations
• Demonstrated track record of working in complex, regulated environments, partnering closely with Finance, Treasury and
Risk teams
• Ability to own and simplify complex problems, bringing clarity to ambiguous requirements and driving structured, high
quality outcomes
• Confidence engaging and influencing across a wide range of stakeholders, with the credibility to operate at the intersection
of Product, Finance and Technology
• A delivery-focused mindset, with strong attention to detail and a passion for building robust, well-controlled and scalable
financial solutions
