Job Summary

We’re a passionate, collaborative engineering team building Mercury Application Space—a production-scale, AI-powered platform used daily by Comcast employees to support millions of customer interactions each month. Our platform applies AI and large language models in real operational workflows, helping customer service agents, retail associates, and field technicians resolve customer needs faster, more accurately, and with greater confidence. This is not a research lab or a science project. The AI capabilities we build are in production, embedded in mission-critical systems, and designed to deliver measurable business and customer outcomes. Mercury Application Space is a multi-channel platform supporting chat and voice agents in call centers, front-line employees in retail stores, and technicians in the field. Built with a .NET backend and React-based frontend, the application leverages real-time eventing, AI-driven recommendations, and agentic task orchestration to proactively guide users toward the best next actions. Our team works tightly with product, design, and business partners in a highly collaborative environment. We value ownership, trust, and pragmatic innovation—focusing on AI that is reliable, explainable, and scalable in real-world enterprise environments. If you’re excited about applying AI and LLMs to real customer problems, shipping solutions that people depend on every day, and growing your skills on a team that values learning and impact over hype, we’d love to work with you. Note: This position is ineligible for visa sponsorship. You must be legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future without sponsorship.

Job Description

What You’ll Do:

  • Build and enhance production AI-enabled features across both the frontend and backend of Mercury Application Space
  • Develop user-facing experiences that incorporate AI-powered recommendations, summaries, and task guidance into real-time workflows
  • Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and data/AI partners to translate business needs into scalable, maintainable AI-backed solutions
  • Integrate AI and LLM-driven services into existing enterprise systems with a focus on performance, reliability, and observability
  • Contribute to backend services (primarily .NET, with some Java) that support real-time agent workflows and AI-driven decisioning
  • Apply AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to improve productivity, code quality, and consistency
  • Participate in architecture discussions, design reviews, code reviews, and agile ceremonies
  • Help shape how AI is responsibly and effectively applied to the future of customer experience at Comcast

What We’re Looking For:

  • 2+ years of hands-on full-stack development experience building and shipping production software
  • Experience designing and implementing real-world applications, not just prototypes or demos
  • Strong understanding of core web technologies and how they are applied at scale
  • Experience with modern frontend frameworks (React preferred; Angular or Vue also welcome)
  • Backend development experience using .NET or Java, with an understanding of service-oriented or microservices architectures
  • Familiarity integrating RESTful APIs and third-party services into enterprise platforms
  • Exposure to AI-augmented applications, such as recommendation systems, summarization, decision support, or workflow automation
  • Comfort using AI-enabled developer tools like GitHub Copilot as part of day-to-day development
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across engineering, product, and business teams
  • A mindset of ownership, curiosity, and continuous learning

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with AI-driven workflows, agent assist systems, or decision-support tools used in production
  • Familiarity with real-time systems, asynchronous messaging, or event-driven architectures
  • Exposure to cloud-native development, CI/CD pipelines, and modern deployment practices
  • Understanding of the challenges involved in operationalizing AI, including latency, reliability, monitoring, and user trust
  • Experience integrating AI or automation into large-scale, customer-facing systems

Why Join Us?

  • Work on an AI-powered product that directly impacts millions of customers every month
  • Build real, production-grade AI systems embedded in everyday workflows—not lab experiments
  • Be part of a supportive, diverse, and highly collaborative engineering team
  • Partner closely with product and business leaders to deliver measurable outcomes
