We’re searching for a seasoned Software Engineer here at Just Eat Takeaway to join our Engineering Experience team within the Platform Engineering domain. This team is responsible for driving technical excellence and delivery velocity by proactively steering our future, standardizing our processes, and eliminating friction from the daily life of every engineer.
Our team operates within the Agile SCRUM framework, emphasising flexibility, continuous improvement, and high-impact collaboration. We engage in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, which are foundational to our approach in managing projects and driving innovation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, and quality assurance, to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery.
Ensure our web applications are optimised for accessibility, performance & scalability.
Build robust backend systems, combined with a strong data analytics background to ensure applications are designed for optimal data handling, ingestion, and analysis.
Advocate for best practices and support their adoption within our teams and wider engineering community.
Document and demonstrate to share knowledge with our engineering department so we can maintain and strengthen our collaborative culture.
Monitor and improve the developer experience offered by the services that we provide.
Enhance real-time tracking and insights into deployment frequency by analyzing historical data with AI tools.
Prior experience working with C# .NET development.
Experience with one of the front-end frameworks React, Angular or preferably Vue.js
Prior experience using AI models to analyze and identify root causes of defects or issues in the pipeline.
Familiarity in SQL (BigQuery experience as a plus) and database acumen.
Practical experience with cloud services such as AWS/GCP.
Background experience using Python for complex data processing, scripting, and automation.
Practical experience using unit testing tools/frameworks (for example xUnit, NUnit, MSTest etc).
Experience setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, build, and deployment processes.
Demonstrable foundation in software engineering principles and best practices such as data structures, design patterns, event-driven architectures and code optimisation.
Demonstrable strong problem-solving, debugging, teamwork, and communication abilities.
Experience in building RESTful APIs.
Cultural awareness with an ability to achieve results in diverse, multi-country environments.
