Description

The Senior Business Analyst on the Vehicle Data Products team is responsible for maintaining the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of our vehicle data solutions, including VINMASTER and TrueVIN.  This position applies seasoned judgment and analytical skills to complex, ambiguous, or atypical vehicle data scenarios.

As an experienced individual contributor on a small, collaborative team, the role operates with a high degree of independence in a deadline driven environment while working closely with product, technology, and customer stakeholders.  The Senior Business Analyst works directly with customers to address product inquiries, participates in pre‑sales and customer calls, and supports customer onboarding activities.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to standard vehicle research efforts to improve and enhance the completeness of our vehicle database

  • Serve as a knowledgeable point of contact for internal and customer-facing users

  • Collaborate with the team on regular product releases, including data review, validation, and release readiness activities 

  • Develop and maintain customer-facing documentation and internal product knowledge resources

  • Engage with internal teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and inform product enhancements

  • Perform ad hoc analysis and research tasks in support of product growth initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of experience in a business analyst, data analyst, or related role, with demonstrated progression in responsibility

  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly when working with incomplete or inconsistent data

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly and confidently address customer questions

  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal direction while collaborating effectively within a team

  • Proficiency in standard PC and office software, with strong Excel skills required

  • Familiarity with property & casualty insurance, particularly personal auto, is desirable
