**Role Overview** Mercor is collaborating with a leading AI lab to engage experienced healthcare professionals across clinical practice, nursing, healthcare administration, compliance, pharmacy, and revenue cycle practice areas. Contributors will support the development of AI systems by translating real-world healthcare workflows, clinical decision-making, and operational processes into structured, high-quality training data. **Key Responsibilities** - Document end-to-end healthcare workflows (e.g., patient care pathways, clinical diagnosis, treatment selection, hospital operations, regulatory compliance) - Review and refine AI-generated clinical analyses and operational recommendations for safety and accuracy - Create structured examples reflecting real-world healthcare decision-making and evidence-based practice - Validate outputs against clinical guidelines, regulatory frameworks, and quality standards - Collaborate asynchronously with research teams to improve healthcare process representations **Ideal Qualifications** - Physician (Primary Care/Specialty): Current MD/DO with active license; 8+ years clinical practice; board certification preferred; electronic health record and quality metrics expertise - Nursing (Clinical/Administration): RN with current license; 8+ years clinical or nursing leadership experience; certification in specialty area; care coordination or quality improvement background preferred - Healthcare Administration: 8+ years hospital, health system, or clinic operations; MHA preferred; reimbursement, compliance, or value-based care expertise - Health Information & Medical Records: RHIA or RHIT certification; 7+ years; expertise in ICD-10, EHR systems, documentation accuracy, or compliance audits - Healthcare Compliance & Regulatory: 7+ years; expertise in HIPAA, state licensing, accreditation, or fraud/abuse compliance; attorney background preferred for legal expertise - Health Economics & Data Analysis: 7+ years; MS/PhD preferred; claims data analysis, outcomes research, or health IT expertise; experience with claims databases or EHR analysis - Pharmacy Practice: PharmD with active license; 7+ years clinical or hospital pharmacy; medication therapy management or drug interaction expertise preferred - Medical Billing & Revenue Cycle: 7+ years healthcare revenue cycle, billing operations, or reimbursement expertise; CCS or CPC certification preferred - Strong attention to detail and ability to clearly articulate clinical and operational reasoning **More About the Opportunity** - Work is structured around discrete clinical pathway and healthcare workflow deliverables - Opportunity to contribute across multiple healthcare specialties depending on credentials and clinical/operational expertise - Focus on translating clinical judgment and healthcare operations into structured decision frameworks **Compensation & Contract Terms** - Compensation is task-based: paid per completed workflow transcript (treated as individual project-based tasks) - Each workflow task is designed to be completed in approximately 20 minutes - Indicative rate: $40 per task (~$120/hr equivalent at expected pace) **Application Process** - Submit a resume or summary of relevant healthcare experience - Complete a short form detailing practice area expertise, licenses, and certifications - Selected applicants may complete a brief sample task - Follow-up typically provided within a few days **About Mercor** - Mercor is a talent marketplace connecting top experts with leading AI labs and research organizations - Backed by Benchmark, General Catalyst, Adam D'Angelo, Larry Summers, and Jack Dorsey - Thousands of professionals contribute to frontier AI projects across domains including law, research, engineering, and creative work
