What We Do

Daemon is a technology consultancy specialising in Cloud, Engineering, and Data practices. We work with enterprise clients to deliver transformative technology solutions - from cloud migrations and platform engineering to data pipelines, AI and ML delivery, and application development.

What to Expect

We strongly encourage our team to become certified in new or existing technologies. You will gain experience working with multiple enterprise clients across a range of engagements, enabling you to finely tune your skill set and learn new technologies.

Your Responsibilities

You will be responsible for a wide range of activities including:

• Collaborating with cross-functional client teams, including colleagues from our Engineering, Cloud, and Delivery practices

• Understanding and documenting methodologies, processes, and client outputs clearly and comprehensively

• Assisting with gathering and researching data for commercial analysis and stakeholder meeting preparation

• Preparing basic reports and presentations and playing back key information to stakeholders

• Continuously learning through assigned client engagement tasks and internal Daemon initiatives

• Completing certifications aligned to your grade requirements and development plan

• Participating in internal training sessions on company processes and standards

• Taking initiative, proactively suggesting improvements to projects and processes

• Mentoring and supporting new starters through onboarding and knowledge sharing

• Understanding Daemon approaches such as Design Thinking, Agile ways of working, and Delivery Excellence

Experience

• Basic proficiency in programming languages and tools such as Java, Python, Golang or .NET

• Foundational understanding of Cloud tooling such as AWS, Azure, and/or GCP

• Interest in and awareness of the latest trends in Data Science, Machine Learning, and AI

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Team player with a collaborative, ideas-sharing approach

• Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) at a foundational level

Tooling and Tech

• Java, Python, Golang or .NET - foundational level

• AWS, Azure, and/or GCP - conceptual and foundational understanding

• Standard productivity and documentation tooling

Certifications

You must hold or be working towards the following certifications as a condition of your grade:

• AWS Cloud Practitioner or AWS AI Practitioner

• Azure Fundamentals

Leadership at This Grade

You are beginning your leadership journey - leading by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic and attention to detail. You actively seek ownership of specific tasks and support new joiners through buddying and knowledge sharing.

Who You Will Work With

At Grade 1, you will work closely with colleagues across the Practice and surrounding practices, as well as directly with clients. You will be supported by experienced consultants, practice leads, and people managers committed to your growth.
