ServiceNow Administrator

We are looking for a ServiceNow Administrator to own the day-to-day health, hygiene and administration of our ServiceNow instances, so that AI workflow capability can be built and deployed on foundations that behave predictably.

You will own access and configuration control, run family release upgrades, manage environments and releases, and keep platform performance, data quality and licence position under control. This role is the difference between a platform that scales and one that slowly becomes a maintenance problem — and it carries the authority to say no to changes that would take us in the wrong direction.

Key responsibiliteis include, but not limited too: 

• Administering users, groups, roles and ACLs, and maintaining a defensible access model across instances.
• Maintaining core platform configuration including assignment rules, notifications, SLAs, service catalogue and reporting.
• Supporting the planning and running ServiceNow family release upgrades end to end — skipped-update review, regression testing, remediation planning and post-upgrade verification.
• Supporting the management of environments and releases: update set or source control promotion, clone scheduling and clean-up, and pre-production data integrity.
• Monitoring platform performance and health — scheduled jobs, transaction and log analysis, system diagnostics — and acting before issues reach users.
• Supporting CMDB and data quality, including discovery data integrity and the accuracy of CI relationships used by workflow and AI capability.
• Managing the licence and subscription position, including entitlement usage tracking and flagging commercial risk.
• Building and maintaining reports, dashboards and Performance Analytics content for operational and leadership use.
• Operating and enforcing change control, and maintaining accurate platform documentation and configuration records.
• Providing second-line platform support to the Workflow Development team and to internal users, and resolving issues to root cause.

What you will have:

• Minimum 2-4years of experience as a ServiceNow Administrator.
• Proven experience as a ServiceNow Administrator in a complex enterprise environment, with strong knowledge of platform configuration and governance.
• Strong understanding of users, groups, roles, ACLs, environments, releases and change control.
• Experience supporting ServiceNow family upgrades, including testing, remediation and post-upgrade validation.
• Good understanding of platform health, performance, CMDB, Discovery and data quality.
• Experience with ServiceNow reporting, dashboards, Performance Analytics and licence management.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate issues to root cause and proactively identify platform risks.
• A disciplined approach to documentation, governance and configuration management, with the confidence to challenge changes that could compromise platform stability.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with an interest in automation and AI-enabled workflows.
