Corporate Accountant

Provides financial and analytical support for assigned business unit. Ensures compliance with corporate accounting standards.

Core Responsibilities

• Executes all corporate accounting close activities for assigned functional area (Global IT). Prepares monthly general ledger account reconciliations and reviews, approves, and posts journal entries.
• Analyzes domestic and international business operations and obligations to ensure accurate recording of financial position. Assists in the preparation and communication of monthly financial results to management.
• Identifies issues independently. Works with internal business contacts to research issues, develop recommendations, and resolve routine issues.
• Assists in recommendations, designs, and implementation of internal control procedures. Ensures proper recording and reporting of financial position to prevent significant errors and improve accounting records. Documents all modifications and communicate to manager and appropriate internal clients.
• Supports the preparation of quarterly financial statements for assigned business area and annual external audit.
• Provides accounting support to senior team members and internal business contacts. Mentors and coaches junior team members.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years related work experience.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Finance or Accounting degree preferred.
