Weâre seeking an exceptional UX Designer, a strategic thinker with a sharp focus on visual design and brand expression - someone who can turn complex requirements into simple, elegant, scalable frameworks for digital experiences. As a UX Designer in Digital Channels, you will define and evolve the design system frameworks that guide how the Chase and JPMorgan brands come to life across app and web. Youâll create the visual design language, UX patterns and design system guidelines that enable teams across the firm to deliver consistent, high-quality design at scale. Create solutions to complex challenges, consult and advise designers and product teams on principles and system application, and help raise the bar through critiques and peer reviews.
Job responsibilities
Drive the application and evolution of the Chase and J.P. Morgan brands in digital products through UI exploration, visual brand identity, design language, motion graphics and more.
Deliver design frameworks and documentation (design system elements, UI patterns, brand expression across platforms) and refine them through critique.
Iterate with strong critical thinking, using design reviews to improve quality, clarity, and adoption. Consult and advise on Product Design Principles, Design Language and Design System application as designers across the firm leverage our frameworks, guidelines and assets.
Apply expertise in brand architecture and design systems (information architecture, pattern libraries, visual libraries)
Define design processes and produce artifacts that support team goals and enable vertical teams.
Champion customer experience by proactively incorporating user needs and feedback into daily work.
Elevate team performance and product quality by surfacing risks/issues to senior design leadership and fostering continuous learning across the team.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Bachelorâs degree in related field or equivalent experience
5+ yearsâ experience as a visual and/or product designer, with strong mobile and web delivery.
Expert-level Figma proficiency, including experience with component libraries and scalable system workflows.
Exceptional visual design craft, demonstrated through sophisticated layout, typography, and UI composition on mobile and web.
Deep understanding of UX, UI, and design systems, with the ability to create and maintain frameworks that drive consistency at scale.
Proven brand expression capabilityâtranslating brand and marketing strategy into product design language, patterns, and standards across platforms.
Strong communication, strategy, system-thinking and execution: can concept, document, and distill logic to evolve design language.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Curiosity-driven exploration of AI in designâactively experiments with generative and assistive AI to accelerate ideation, and system exploration while maintaining brand integrity.
Ability to translate concepts and learnings into scalable practiceâdocuments guidelines and repeatable workflows so teams can adopt design methods consistently within the design system.
Strong exploratory prototypingâuses rapid iteration to test concepts, motion, and interaction patterns across app and web before standardizing them.
Thoughtful governance and standards awarenessâpartners with product, engineering, and data stakeholders to ensure design frameworks align with responsible use, quality, and compliance expectations.
