Information Security Apprentice

As our Information Security Analyst Apprentice at Jet2, you'll work alongside experienced cybersecurity professionals. Cyber security is the frontline defence against digital threats. This apprenticeship focuses on critical risk analysis and mitigation skills to help Jet2 identify vulnerabilities, assess threats, and implement robust security governance strategies.

What you'll be doing:
 

Information Security
 

• Monitor security email inbox for information security or GRC support requests.  
• Support information security or third party risk activities as required. 
• Support security projects and change as required. 
• Liaise and support the wider Tech Team with other security activities.  

Governance:
 

• Support a resilient GRC capability in line with best practices. 
• Assist with developing, maintaining, and reviewing information security policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of security governance frameworks.
• Support and maintain internal and external assurance programmes
• Monitor compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
• Assist in establishing and maintaining security metrics and reporting dashboards.
• Support security awareness and compliance initiatives across the organisation.
• Support aviation specific cyber security requirements. 

Risk Management:
 

• Assist in conducting information security risk assessments and maintain the cyber risk register.
• Support the identification, analysis, and evaluation of security, privacy, and operational risks.
• Track and monitor risk treatment plans and remediation actions.

Compliance & Assurance:
 

• Assist with internal and external audits, certifications, and assessments.
• Support compliance with standards and regulations such as:  
• ISO/IEC 27001.
• NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
• GDPR / UK GDPR.
• PCI DSS (where applicable).
• SOC 2 (where applicable)

What you'll have: 
 

• A strong interest and basic knowledge in cyber security, specifically related to Risk and Governance.
• Good problem solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• GCSE Maths & English (or equivalent) at grade A-C (9-4).
• Excellent IT skills, preferably at GCSE level (or equivalent) or above.
• You must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level in a similar subject.
• Must have been resident in the UK for 3 years.
• Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) clearance will be required to be done as part of the onboarding process.
