We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Specialist, Front End Engineer to join our corporate engineering team. This role is located in Pune

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: 

• Build accessible, secure, and performant user interfaces that thousands of BNY employees rely on daily, improving productivity and user satisfaction.
• Translate product requirements into well-structured, reusable components using modern front-end frameworks, delivering high-quality features on predictable sprint timelines.
• Elevate front-end performance and reliability by optimizing key metrics ,reducing page load times, and hardening error pathways to improve overall experience.
• Champion a shared design system and UI standards, contributing reusable components, documentation, and best practices to drive consistency and speed across teams.
• Uphold security and accessibility by implementing secure coding practices and meeting BNY standards, ensuring inclusive experiences for all users.
• Drive quality through automated testing (unit, integration, end to end), robust code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines that shorten feedback loops .
• Collaborate closely with product, UX, backend, QA, and Cross functional teams to refine scope, sequence work, and unblock delivery, modeling strong communication and ownership.
• Improve observability with client-side logging, telemetry, and analytics, using data to diagnose issues, measure impact, and guide continuous improvement.
• Mentor and support teammates by sharing best practices, pairing on complex problems, and providing constructive feedback that grows engineering capability.
• Contribute to technical roadmaps and architectural decisions, balancing near term delivery with long term maintainability and scalability.
• Proactively identify opportunities to simplify experiences, reduce operational toil, and streamline workflows—sparking progress across our platforms.
• Demonstrate BNY’s principles—Be Client Obsessed, Own It, Stay Curious, Thrive Together—through your delivery, collaboration, and continuous learning.

• Contribute  in Agile ceremonies  and to continuous improvement initiatives.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: 

• Bachelor’s degree, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
• 6+ years of experience in the job offered, or in a related IT occupation.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies (e.g., React, Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Experience must include Designing and developing reusable components and libraries using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Designing and maintaining coding standards and best practices and enforcing them using tools including Git, CICD pipelines and through unit testing.
•  Designing and developing CI/CD architecture and best practices using GitLab
•  Reviewing code written by team members in JavaScript, Angular, NodeJS and .Net for frontend and backend systems.
• Deploying applications using CI/CD, provisioning Kafka objects for applications using JavaScript, Python and Shell script
• Experience in working on security vulnerabilities
• Experience in writing SQL queries
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
