We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Full-Stack Engineer to join our Asset Servicing Engineering team. This role is located in Pune.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Java applications and services.
- Write clean, efficient, secure, and scalable code following engineering standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners in Product and Operations to define requirements, design solutions, and deliver features end-to-end.
- Diagnose and resolve defects and performance bottlenecks; participate in incident response and post-incident improvements as needed.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategy (APIs, data models, reliability, observability, scalability).
- Participate in code reviews to maintain quality, share knowledge, and reinforce consistent patterns.
- Improve developer productivity through automation, better tooling, and CI/CD improvements.
- Mentor and support engineers across the team; foster a culture of continuous learning and constructive feedback.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend pragmatic adoption where valuable.
- Delivers high-quality features quickly by breaking down work effectively and removing bottlenecks.
- Improves system performance, reliability, and maintainability through disciplined engineering practices.
- Raises team output through mentorship, constructive code reviews, and sharing reusable patterns.
- Balances speed with risk management, security, and operational readiness.
- Continuously learns and pragmatically applies new tools/techniques to improve outcomes.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Proven experience delivering scalable, high-impact Java solutions in production environments.
- Advanced Java proficiency (Java 17+), including concurrency, multithreading, and performance tuning.
- Strong knowledge of Java and modern frameworks/libraries such as Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and Hibernate/JPA.
- Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices in distributed systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively.
- Advanced database and SQL skills, including relational database design and optimization (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
- Knowledge of event-driven architectures and messaging platforms (e.g., Kafka, MQ).
- Exposure to big data / distributed processing tools (e.g., Spark) and/or scalable data stores (e.g., HBase).
- Experience working with modern analytics/data platforms (e.g., Snowflake) is a plus.
- Experience with automated testing practices and frameworks (e.g., JUnit; BDD concepts/tools).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices (e.g., Docker, GitLab CI/CD).
- Working knowledge of secure coding practices and ability to meet security, compliance, and quality standards.
- Comfortable working in Agile delivery models and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Kanban).
- Experience with API design patterns, including REST and/or GraphQL.
- Exposure to front-end development (e.g., Angular, HTML5, JavaScript) is helpful.
Preferred / Plus Qualifications
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Windsurf) and a strong sense for when/where they improve quality and speed.
- Knowledge of multi-tier systems and designing components for critical, distributed platforms.
- Domain knowledge in tradable financial products, securities processing, and global exchanges.
- Experience with .NET in support of application or asset migration efforts.
- Experience with Ruby on Rails.
