We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Application Development Manager to join our Trustee & Depositary (T&D) Engineering team. This role is located in Manchester, United Kingdom.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
Design, develop, test, and maintain high quality, scalable software applications across the full software development lifecycle in a modern agile POD setup
Build and enhance Java based, containerized microservices and contribute to cloud ready application architectures supporting T&D Modernisation
Analyse, modify, and optimize existing applications to meet evolving business, regulatory, and technical requirements
Apply agile engineering practices, including CI/CD, test automation, code reviews, and AI assisted development, to improve delivery quality and efficiency
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience
Hands on experience in Java based application development within an enterprise environment
Exposure to containerized microservices, modern build pipelines, and relational databases (Oracle preferred), with understanding of the full software development lifecycle
Experience working in agile delivery environments (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe) with a strong focus on code quality, collaboration, and continuous learning
An AI first mindset with a passion for modern engineering practices, continuous improvement, and automation.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective work across cross functional teams.
