Manager, IT Delivery, Monitor Product Portfolio

The Monitor Product team within Workplace Technologies is seeking a technology leader to drive one of Vanguard's most visible and strategically important digital experiences. The team owns a broad portfolio of participant-facing capabilities, including the Own Your Future Dashboard, the Participant Experience Google Unified Dashboard, account profile experiences, security capabilities, contingency platforms, and supporting applications that help participants manage and understand their financial future. As a Manager, IT Delivery you will lead cross-functional delivery teams, partner closely with Product Management and Architecture, and collaborate extensively with both Personal Wealth and Vanguard India technology teams to deliver high-quality, reliable solutions. You will play a critical role in advancing modernization initiatives, improving operational excellence, strengthening platform resiliency, and supporting enterprise goals around client experience and long-term growth. • Lead, coach, and develop technology professionals across multiple Agile teams, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, continuous learning, and career growth.
• Drive delivery and execution for the Monitor Product portfolio, including:
  • Own Your Future Dashboard
  • Google Unified Dashboard
  • Dashboard integration and routing capabilities
  • Account Profile and Security experiences
  • Contingency Site capabilities
  • Cybersecurity, modernization, and resiliency initiatives
• Balance strategic roadmap delivery with ongoing operational support, incident management, and risk reduction activities.
• Collaborate across Workplace Solutions, Personal Wealth, Architecture, Platform Services, and Product organizations to deliver a unified client experience.
• Lead efforts that integrate shared navigation, dashboard experiences, and micro front-end capabilities across business domains.
• Influence delivery across multiple teams and stakeholders to align priorities, dependencies, and execution plans.
• Establish and maintain effective partnerships with Vanguard India technology teams.
• Coordinate planning, delivery execution, dependency management, knowledge transfer, and production support across distributed teams.
• Foster an inclusive and collaborative environment that enables global teams to operate as one delivery organization.
• Own delivery readiness for the Azure-based contingency platform and related resiliency capabilities.
• Partner with architecture, infrastructure, and engineering teams to improve observability, availability, disaster recovery, and operational excellence.
• Lead incident response, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives across a complex application landscape.
• Monitor operational performance, service delivery, and team effectiveness while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Participate in staffing, budgeting, resource planning, and other operational management activities.
• Ensure compliance with information technology, cybersecurity, and information security policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum of eight years related work experience, with at least five years of project management or leadership experience.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.

Preferred skills

• Experience in IT project management, software development, or IT service delivery with prior experience leading technology teams and Agile delivery efforts.
• Hands-on software development experience with modern web technologies (React, Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript), backend technologies (Java, APIs, microservices), and cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud).
• Experience leading modernization, resiliency, cybersecurity, and platform stability initiatives across complex enterprise applications.
• Proven ability to partner effectively with Product, Architecture and globally distributed teams, including India.
• Excellent leadership, communication, collaboration, and influencing skills with a demonstrated ability to develop talent and drive high-performing teams.
