Embracing Growth and Innovation: Dreidel Regala's Journey at Capco

Joining Capco as a Senior Consultant in December last year marked the beginning of an exciting career. Filled with opportunities to tackle challenges, contribute to transformative internal initiatives and support architecture preparation. We spoke to Dreidel to learn more about her journey and experiences at Capco.

Can you share a bit about your professional background that led you to your current position as a software engineering consultant at Capco?

My career journey began in the Philippines, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. I focused on software product development, creating applications from scratch, enhancing legacy systems, and supporting both internal and client-facing applications. After moving to Orlando, I discovered Capco and was immediately drawn to their emphasis on innovation and collaboration.

Can you tell us a little bit more about how you landed the role at Capco? How did you find the role, and what was the interview process like?

Securing a position at Capco required extensive preparation. The competitive job market pushed me to refine my resume, revisit technical concepts, and practice problem-solving rigorously. The interview process was thorough, involving programming assessments, discussions with leadership, and multiple team interactions. The effort paid off, as my preparation gave me the confidence to succeed.

What specific skills and experiences have been crucial to your success in securing and excelling in your role at Capco?

In my role, problem-solving is critical. Tackling unexpected challenges and navigating unknowns requires adaptability and resourcefulness. My expertise in backend development, combined with exposure to cloud technologies like AWS, has been instrumental. This adaptability also enabled me to join the Gen AI team, where I contribute to innovative projects that push boundaries.

What do you find most rewarding about your job?

Capco offers more than just a job—it provides a dynamic, collaborative, and inclusive environment. I’ve had the opportunity to work with talented colleagues on varied projects, from financial services to cutting-edge AI initiatives.
