We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist 

In this role, you will:

  • Track, monitor, and evidence compliance for key IT controls and KCIs across IDAM, SDLC, Deployment (DEPL), Cyber, Operational Resilience, and other applicable Group control requirements for Core Banking Service Management.
  • Own and manage GRAS metrics for the area, ensuring accurate status, clear ownership, and timely progression/closure of actions.Maintain high-quality dashboards, trackers, and reporting packs that provide transparent visibility of compliance status, risks, overdue actions, and upcoming deadlines for senior stakeholders.
  • Drive action management: ensure action owners understand requirements and evidence expectations, follow up regularly, remove blockers, and escalate where actions are at risk or overdue.
  • Represent the function in control governance forums and KCI/control discussions; provide constructive feedback, challenge where needed, and drive favourable outcomes aligned to the Group control framework.
  • Engage regularly with Group IAM, Risk & Control leads, control owners, CCO Tech, Risk Advocates, IT/Business Service Owners, and Service Quality Managers to align expectations and close outstanding items.Prepare and present compliance status, key risks, trends, and mitigation plans for CTO/CIO/SLR and other senior governance forums.
  • Track and ensure timely closure of audit issues/findings/actions related to IT controls, ensuring evidence quality is audit-ready and traceable. Identify and deliver continuous improvement opportunities (process improvements, playbooks, training/awareness sessions) to strengthen control performance and operational discipline.
  • Share IT Service Owner (ITSO) responsibilities for nominated Core Banking services, supporting service governance and service health oversight (e.g., incidents/problems awareness, change risk, operational risk management, service reviews).
  • Ensure service documentation remains current and fit for purpose (e.g., service profiles, support models, key contacts, runbooks, DR artefacts) and that control requirements are embedded into service operations.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Proven experience in IT control compliance tracking, KCI/KPI reporting, and action management in a regulated environment.
  • Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, challenge, and escalate appropriately to drive closure.
  • Working knowledge of Cybersecurity controls, SDLC, deployment/change controls, and Identity & Access Management concepts.
  • Experience producing dashboards and senior management reporting (e.g., Excel/Power BI or equivalent), with strong attention to detail and evidence quality.
  • Experience supporting IT Service Ownership / Service Management activities for critical services (service reviews, operational risk management, and service stability/resilience focus).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate effectively with senior IT and business stakeholders. Ability to work independently, take ownership, and drive global functional teams towards common objectives.
