Configuration Management Task Lead

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Configuration Management Task Lead to join our team in Doral, FL.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Responsible for defining, maintaining, and evolving the enterprise configuration management (CM) baseline, ensuring technical configurations align directly with strategic business and IT initiatives.
• Lead the Configuration Control Board (CCB) and CM task force, collaborating with Enterprise Architects and SMEs to establish, refine, and enforce enterprise-wide configuration standards.
• Provide expert guidance on CM best practices within UAF and DoDAF environments, auditing and managing baseline architecture artifacts to guarantee compliance with DoD policy and configuration controls.
• Proactively analyze emerging business needs, technology shifts, and system dependencies to assess the impact of proposed configuration changes on the broader enterprise architecture.
• Partner with senior leadership to translate organizational goals into controlled deployment strategies, conducting risk assessments to optimize IT investments and prevent configuration drift.
• Design and execute enterprise change and configuration management processes, leading baseline audits to guarantee full compliance with regulatory standards and system integrity mandates.
• Provide strategic direction and hands-on guidance to configuration management specialists, elevating team capabilities and instilling a culture of continuous integration and control.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, mathematics, engineering or a related field and six (6) or more years of relevant experience in IT/Software Configuration Management, IT Operations Management, Systems Engineering Management or Software Development Management or in a similar role.  An equivalent amount of education and experience will also be considered. 
  • A master’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field and four (4) years of relevant experience.
  • OR an associate’s degree and eight (8) Years of relevant experience
  • OR a High School Diploma and ten (10) Years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Familiarity with the Unified Architecture Framework (UAF), DoDAF and its views, including the Operational View (OV), Systems View (SV), and Technical Standards View (TV).  Experience in developing and maintaining DoDAF-compliant architecture artifacts, such as Operational Viewpoints (OVP), Systems Viewpoints (SVP), and Capability Viewpoints (CV).
• Knowledge of emerging technologies and their potential impact on enterprise architecture. Experience in developing and implementing architecture governance processes.

Clearance Requirements:

• Must have a current/ active Secret security clearance
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.

Physical Requirements:

• The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
