The role As Senior Legal Counsel, you will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, supporting a wide range of commercial and corporate legal matters. You will take a leading role in complex contract negotiations and play a key part in shaping legal and commercial processes across the organisation.

What you will be doing

  • Lead high-value contract negotiations with public sector customers
  • Support contract renewals, amendments, and approval processes
  • Partner closely with sales and bid teams on commercial opportunities
  • Provide legal advice to senior leadership on a range of matters
  • Advise on procurement frameworks, including central and local government agreements
  • Support dispute management, including risk assessment and litigation considerations
  • Provide guidance across IT contracts, including IP, licensing, and service agreements
  • Contribute to compliance by identifying and managing contractual risk
  • Support the General Counsel with governance, reporting, and M&A activities

What we are looking for

  • Qualified legal professional, ideally a Solicitor
  • Strong experience in commercial contract negotiation
  • Background in public sector or healthcare, or similar regulated environments
  • Experience with IT contracts, licensing, and data protection concepts
  • Strong attention to detail with clear and effective written communication
  • Proven ability to manage complex and competing priorities
  • Confidence working with senior stakeholders and external advisers
  • Interest in developing others and contributing to team growth
