Join Barclays as aBusiness Technology Partner, where you will act as the strategic link between the Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) and key business stakeholders, helping business units maximise value from Barclays' cloud, data and analytics capabilities. You will partner with senior leaders to understand business priorities, identify technology opportunities, provide high-level solution and architecture guidance, and influence platform roadmaps. This role requires a strong understanding of cloud technologies, enterprise architecture and technology lifecycles, combined with excellent stakeholder management skills. While not a hands-on engineering role, you will be expected to engage credibly with both technical teams and business leaders, driving platform adoption, product roadmaps, strategic alignment, and ultimately supporting teams to deliver long-term business value.

To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

  • Proven experience partnering with Business, Operations, and Technology teams within Financial Services to deliver key design artefacts and support end-to-end change initiatives aligned to business outcomes and value.
  • Strong experience managing interlocks, dependencies, and risks across complex cloud-based environments.
  • Product or platform ownership experience, including driving strategy, prioritisation, and delivery.

Some other highly valued skills may include:

  • Good understanding of cloud technologies and data principles (AWS, Azure, or GCP), or experience delivering large-scale migration programmes.
  • Strong project governance capabilities, with experience prioritising and managing multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
  • Product Owner experience, particularly with cloud platforms, tools, or infrastructure products.

You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.

The successful candidate will be based in our Glasgow Campus.
