Our Business Account Executives are focused on door-to-door prospecting in a designated B2B territory. While most of your time is spent in your territory, you will begin your day in the office daily for the first six months, and then twice a week as you get familiar with your role. As a member of our team, you will: - Follow our consultative methodology to build rapport and engage with prospective customers to determine their needs and present relevant product and service solutions - Identify opportunities to sell secondary services including custom hosting, desktop security, data security and storage, etc. - Partner with a dedicated Account Coordinator for sales support and administrative tasks - Route all non-sales-related inquiries to customer service so you remain focused on achieving sales targets - Maintain real-time, accurate records of all sales and prospecting activity through Salesforce Your Schedule Business Account Executives typically operate during standard business hours but have the flexibility to manage their time and prioritize tasks to maximize their earnings potential. This role requires the ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future. How You Will Make an Impact - Prospect and generate new business sales within an assigned territory through field engagement and lead follow-up - Conduct consultative needs analysis with prospective customers, leveraging expertise in Spectrum Business products and services - Identify and offer tailored solutions for small business communication needs, including voice, data, video and mobile - Achieve sales and product targets by managing sales opportunities from initial contact to closing the sale - Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities using required software and tools - Collaborate with other business teams to ensure timely order execution and superior customer service - Participate in sales meetings and training sessions as directed by management Working Conditions Field-based role with daily outside selling, frequent driving and walking required Office environment as needed when not in the field What You Will Bring to Spectrum Required Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field, or equivalent experience Experience 2+ years sales experience or 2+ years in telecom or technical industry Skills Read, write, speak and understand English Skilled in managing sales and administrative tasks efficiently within deadlines Quick learner who applies new knowledge in a team environment Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Driven, professional and determined character Valid state driver’s license, safe driving record, reliable personal vehicle and car insurance Preferred Qualifications Experience Business-to-business outside sales experience in telecommunications or technical industry, with a history of exceeding goals Skills Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
