We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Sr. Associate Director, Delivery Management.
In this role, you will:
- Foundations Technology, part of the wider CTO technology department is responsible for: Delivery of the Finance Data Service, delivering 'data products' and data solutions on the associated platforms to meet the needs of dependent Finance Value Streams. Delivery of data solutions to support the wider Group Functions technology teams and value streams. Delivery of Analytics, Common Components and frameworks that both itself and other Group Functions VS technology teams utilize to deliver business solutions and outcomes.
- Development and operation of the Group Functions Data Mesh (formally RADAR). Delivery of Regulatory Reporting solutions to support the Finance & Risk functions
- Work within the Foundations Technology delivery management team, the role of senior Delivery Lead is not only to work as a Delivery Lead, but you will also act as a key representative of the Delivery Team promoting delivery best practice. Your role may include being accountability for the management of a small team of Delivery Leads either organized by value stream, location or programme.
- Working within the Foundations Technology Delivery Management team the Delivery Lead plays a critical role accountable for ensuring assigned initiatives are delivered successfully. The Delivery Lead owns the relationships with respective value stream product owner(s), change leadership and stakeholders, to understand and manage demand, organise supply capacity and manage delivery to meet requirements in line with expectations.
- In this role you are responsible for leading the delivery of specific outcomes that could take the form of projects and / or continuously evolving backlogs of work. In either scenario the responsibilities will include elements of planning, budget building and financial tracking, customer and stakeholder management through governance and communications etc. As a representative for the Delivery Team, you may, in addition to your main delivery responsibilities participate in local initiatives (e.g. tech centre Delivery Excellence).
- Active management of our customers and stakeholders to ensure we understand and exceed their expectations. Ensuring all project reporting including progress, plan, risks, issues, and dependencies as well as other ad hoc requests meet expected standards. Achieving and maintaining any delivery OKRs and reporting metrics dictated by the central Delivery Excellence team. Inputs into periodic ‘focus’ meetings to explain scope, status, and outlook to senior management. Line management and management of effectiveness of any assigned team
To be successful, you will:
- Extensive experience in working in Agile delivery at a senior level.
- Be self-directed, be curious and demonstrate critical thinking to understand, shape and execute a delivery to the highest standards
- Demonstrable experience of managing portfolios and projects including the management of engineering teams, project plans, budgets, risks, and issues
- Good communication and negotiation skills to manage demand versus capacity mismatches.
- Ability to clearly articulate portfolio status and outlook. Be able to facilitate all aspects of delivery and become a recognized go to single point of contact for your scope of your team’s delivery.
- Build relationships within technology, change delivery and other stakeholders.
- Demonstrable experience in people and team management; defining objectives; personal development plans, performance reviews etc.
- Experience of resourcing, both internal and external hiring and vendor management.
