Role Profile: PHP/Laravel Developer 

We are recruiting for a PHP Developer to join us ASAP for a duration of six months initially. This role is one day per week on-site in the North-West, near Manchester.

What you’ll bring to the table:

About You:

• As a Full Stack Developer, you will play a key role in building and maintaining modern, scalable web applications. You’ll work across both frontend and backend, collaborating closely with designers and engineers to deliver high-quality digital experiences.
• You’re someone who enjoys writing clean code, values best practices like Test-Driven Development, and is eager to continue developing your technical skills in a supportive, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Frontend Development: Build responsive, high-performance user interfaces using Next.js and React
• Backend Development: Develop and maintain backend services using Laravel (PHP)
• API Development: Design and integrate RESTful APIs across systems
• Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following TDD principles
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless user experiences
• Agile Delivery: Contribute to sprint planning, stand-ups, and technical discussions
• Troubleshooting: Debug and resolve technical issues across the stack
• Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with modern development practices and tools

Technical Profile:

• Core Skills:
  • Strong proficiency with Next.js and React.js
  • Strong experience with Laravel (PHP framework)
  • Solid understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD)
  • Experience working with relational databases (e.g., MySQL)
  • Familiarity with Git and modern development workflows
• Nice to Have:
  • Experience with Tailwind CSS
  • Understanding of REST APIs
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience working in Agile environments
