Senior Platform Software Engineer

Description

Owns moderately complex components within platform services or SDKs; leads team-level improvements to integration frameworks and developer tooling. Performs deep debugging across a bounded set of distributed services, driving fixes that protect downstream consumers and upgrade paths. Analyzes usage, performance, and error budgets for specific platform surfaces; implements targeted resilience and capacity optimizations. Authors and curates team-scoped documentation, samples, and adoption guidance.

Responsibilities

Oracle Generative AI Agent is an exciting area in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. We are delivering innovative services at the intersection of artificial intelligence and cloud infrastructure. As part of the Generative AI team, you will build and operate cloud services that leverage state-of-the-art generative AI agent technologies, while also developing critical agent tool capabilities like MCP gateway, Agent Registry, and more. We are committed to providing the best in cloud products to meet the needs of our customers who are tackling some of the world’s most challenging problems.
You will be part of a team of experienced, hands-on engineers with the expertise and passion to solve difficult problems in distributed highly available services and virtualized infrastructure. At every level, our engineers have a significant technical and business impact by designing and building innovative new systems to power our customer’s business critical applications.
As a senior developer in Generative AI team, you will be leading the effort of building distributed, scalable, high-performance generative AI agent service and agent tool platform in partnership with our applied scientists and software engineers. You will investigate model structure to optimize model performance and scalability. You will build state of art systems with innovative technologies in this fast-evolving area

• You are an experienced software engineer with a proven track record of delivering large-scale, high-performance distributed services in production.

Minimum Qualifications  
 

• BS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of demonstrated ability shipping scalable, cloud-native distributed systems
• Ability to work in a collaborative, multi-functional team environment.
• Proficient in Python, Java, and Go.
• Experience with container orchestration technologies like Kubernetes.
• Experience with production operations and standard processes for putting quality code in production and solve issues when they arise.
• Able to optimally communicate technical ideas verbally and in writing (technical proposals, design specs, architecture diagrams and presentations).

Preferred Qualifications  
 

• BS or MS in Computer Science.
• Production experience with cloud computing.
• Experience with generative AI agent technologies

• Experience in diagnosing, fixing and resolving issues in AI model training and serving

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $92,500 to $209,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
