A senior leadership consulting role for proven experts who lead large engagements, mentor consultants, and drive technical strategy and business growth for Daemon.

What We Do

Daemon is a technology consultancy specialising in Cloud, Engineering, and Data practices. We work with enterprise clients to deliver transformative technology solutions - from cloud migrations and platform engineering to data pipelines, AI and ML delivery, and application development.

We strongly encourage our team to become certified in new or existing technologies. You will gain experience working with multiple enterprise clients across a range of engagements, enabling you to finely tune your skill set and learn new technologies.

What We Need

We need Principal Consultants who can lead and deliver large, mostly technical engagements, provide strategic guidance to practices, support pre-sales, and build trusted advisor relationships with clients up to and including C-Level. You will operate across Engagement Lead, Technical Lead, and Technical Oversight tracks.

You bring deep experience across multiple technical domains, strong commercial acumen, and proven success in overseeing more than one project simultaneously. You are comfortable in a fast-paced environment and get a genuine kick out of delivering complex outcomes.

Your Responsibilities

You will be responsible for a wide range of activities including:

• Leading and delivering large, primarily technical engagements to the highest quality standards

• Helping clients solve business problems with technology and identifying new opportunities

• Defining, designing, and delivering engagements including technical strategy

• Providing strategic and technical guidance to practices, including setting standards and best practices

• Working directly with clients and supporting the sales team to land future opportunities

• Managing people within Daemon to support, coach, develop, and help them navigate their careers

• Providing thought leadership through blogging, events, and webinars

• Actively shaping and owning a domain community

• Managing and controlling formal contracts for the supply of products and services

• Leading, mentoring, and inspiring cross-functional teams including client and Daemon teams

• Communicating complex technical concepts clearly to peers, clients, and executive stakeholders

• Overseeing the deployment of solutions into production, ensuring robustness and scalability

Experience

• Typically in excess of 8 years of industry experience with considerable consulting experience

• Proven success and experience overseeing more than one project simultaneously

• Strong background in technology with deep experience in one or more technical domains and/or market verticals

• Networking and influencing clients up to and including C-Level

• Proficiency in multiple technical domains and delivery management

• Experience acting as Technical Oversight across engagements

Tooling and Tech

• Expert-level proficiency across all practice-aligned technical disciplines

• AWS and Azure - speciality-level certifications

• Advanced knowledge of engagement lifecycle tooling, Kantata, Jira, and Salesforce

Certifications

You must hold or be working towards the following certifications as a condition of your grade:

• AWS Solution Architect Professional or AWS DevOps Engineer Professional (at least one priority)

• AWS Advanced Networking, AWS Security, AWS Machine Learning, or AWS Database Speciality (at least one priority)

• Azure DevOps Expert, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Power Platform Solution Architect Expert

• Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) or CKA (secondary)

• Vault Operations Professional (secondary)

Leadership at This Grade

You are an advanced leader. You manage and develop peers and direct team members, build a comprehensive rolling set of objectives aligned to practice goals, champion and coach Daemon values, and cultivate relationships and networks that generate new business leads and future employees.

Who You Will Work With

At Grade 4, you will work closely with colleagues across the Practice and surrounding practices, as well as directly with clients. You will be supported by experienced consultants, practice leads, and people managers committed to your growth.
