Job Title: IBP and Resource Lead

Location: Samlesbury – Hybrid, 3 days on site per week with 1 of them at Warton site

Job Description:

You’ll play a key role within the Project and Business Management Project Control Office, supporting a large and fast-paced digital portfolio across architecture, technology services and cyber programmes. Working with project control tools and financial systems, you’ll provide insight into cost, performance and resource organisation, helping teams deliver effectively across a significant non-labour portfolio.

You’ll collaborate with stakeholders across all levels, including presenting data to senior Stakeholders, supporting resource planning and contributing to recruitment and third-party strategy activities. This role offers excellent exposure, practical experience across digital programmes and considerable opportunities for professional growth within a supportive and development focused environment.

Core duties:

  • Supporting a team, providing day-to-day guidance, coaching and supporting ongoing development and performance
  • Overseeing five-year planning activities, coordinating stakeholders to align financial forecasts with strategic targets
  • Coordinating quarterly reforecast processes, validating data and ensuring alignment with previous forecasts and targets
  • Developing resource plans, balancing demand and supply to support effective labour-force and operational delivery
  • Monitoring cost risks and opportunities, supporting recruitment activities to maintain capability across the function

Essential Skills:

  • Experience applying Integrated Business Planning processes, including demand and supply planning within multi-layered organisations
  • Good data interpretation skills, compiling information and producing clear reports and presentations for stakeholders
  • Ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions within fast-paced environments
  • Considerable organisational skills, overseeing priorities, coordinating tasks and maintaining structured planning processes
  • Practical experience working with workforce planning, forecasting or business operations within multi-stakeholder environments

The Project and Business Management (PBM) Project Control Office

Supporting a large-scale digital portfolio, this function provides essential project coordination, financial insight and resource planning across technology and cyber programmes. Working in a fast-paced environment, it enables informed strategies, supports business growth and offers ample exposure to senior stakeholders and high-impact projects.
