UKG is looking for a Cloud Platform Engineer to join a growing team leading Platform capability for our Engineering organization. You will build new and maintain existing capabilities in our public and private (on-premises) Cloud platforms. You and the team own our Cloud Experience for UKG. You will use building blocks, Go language, Terraform, Kubernetes , Ansible, and work with on-premise infrastructure OpenStack and Cloud services in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Responsibilities:
UKG is looking for a Sr. DevOps Engineer to join a growing team leading Platform capability for our Engineering organization. You will build new and maintain existing capabilities in our public and private (on-premises) Cloud platforms. You and the team own our Cloud Experience for UKG. You will use building blocks, Go language, Terraform, Kubernetes , Ansible, and work with on-premise infrastructure OpenStack and Cloud services in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Responsibilities:
• Architect and implement solutions for internal self-service offering technical architecture diagrams and user guides for internal administrators, operators, and users
• Collaborate with Architecture and Engineering teams to understand gaps and requirements while meeting expectations
• Manage, improve, and maintain our tools and services stack across the organization and deliver value incrementally.
• Troubleshoot issues by reviewing information at hand, develop detailed implementation plan with automation and test details, and mentoring team members• Software Development: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code or various software applications and systems.
• Technical Leadership: Contribute to the design, development, and deployment of complex software applications and systems, ensuring they meet high standards of quality and performance.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field, however equivalent work experience in similar position may be substituted for educational requirements.
• 4+ years of experience working with automation tools and technologies Shell/ bash , Ansible , Python , CI/CD pipelines.
• 4+ years of experience building automations for configuring Cloud infrastructure and services (on-prem or public) through code, such as Terraform.
• 4+ years of experience with Cloud Native solutions ex. Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, and/or Azure ( GCP preferable ) .
• 4+ years of experience with at least one programming language e.g. Java/Golang/Ruby/Python,( Golang preferable ).
• 4+ Experience working with container technologies e.g. Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with one or more distributed version control/Source Code Management (SCM) technology and its workflows like Github actions and the understanding of the GitOps/DevOps mindset.
