MANTECH seeks a motivated, mission-focused, and analytically rigorous OPERATIONS RESEARCH ANALYST to support Marine Corps mission engineering, warfighting analysis, and capability development efforts in QUANTICO, VA.

This is an on-site position supporting government and USMC customers in the evaluation of concepts, capabilities, technologies, and operational approaches through data-driven modeling, simulation, and analysis.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

●  Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of Marine Corps warfighting concepts, mission threads, weapon system capabilities, and concepts of operation in support of mission engineering and operational assessments.

●   Support mission engineering activities by helping define analytic problems, formulate research  questions, and develop study plans that model Marine Corps capabilities in warfighting scenarios to assess system effectiveness and performance.

●   Develop and apply analytical methods, run matrices, and evaluation frameworks to assess mission effectiveness, interoperability, capability gaps, integration issues, and trade-space options across Marine Corps, Naval, and joint systems and concepts.

●   Interpret analytic results to identify trends, risks, capability gaps, and mission impacts, then translate findings into actionable recommendations that inform experimentation, capability development, and requirements development.

●   Prepare and deliver technical research reports, briefings, visualizations, and other analytic products for government stakeholders, warfighters, engineers, and senior leaders.

●   Collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and as needed, serve as a program or project lead for small analytic teams supporting mission-focused studies and related efforts.

Preferred Qualifications:

●   Advanced degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related analytical discipline.

●   Experience supporting Marine Corps, Navy, or joint warfighting analysis, mission engineering, concept development, experimentation, capability assessments, or requirements development.

●  Familiarity with mission engineering methodology, including mission architectures, mission threads, measures and metrics, and scenario-based analysis.

●   Experience conducting trade-off studies, sensitivity analysis, optimization, interoperability assessments, operational effectiveness analysis, or mission-level capability evaluations.

●    Familiarity with simulation modeling  environments, data management practices, and traceable analytic products that support decision-making.
