Description

As a Salesforce Architect, you will join our Digital and Technology team, working closely with business stakeholders, developers, and solution designers to deliver cutting-edge Salesforce solutions. Your role will focus on architecting and optimising Commerce Cloud and Order Management capabilities to support Heathrow’s retail and service operations. You will define technical standards, ensure best practices, and guide the design of integrated solutions that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency. Success in this role means delivering secure, scalable, and high-performing platforms that enable Heathrow to meet its commercial objectives and provide passengers with a seamless digital journey.

Responsibilities

  • Designing and governing the architecture for Salesforce Commerce Cloud and Order Management solutions, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Collaborating with business and technical teams to translate requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions.
  • Leading technical design sessions and providing guidance to development teams on best practices and integration patterns.
  • Defining and maintaining architectural documentation, including data models, integration diagrams, and security frameworks.
  • Evaluating new Salesforce features and third-party tools to recommend enhancements that drive business value.
  • Ensuring compliance with data protection, security, and performance standards across all Salesforce implementations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Salesforce Architect with expertise in Commerce Cloud and Order Management.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce platform architecture, integration patterns, and security best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with API design, data modelling, and system integrations.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Ability to lead technical discussions and influence decision-making at senior levels. 

    Desirable:

  • Salesforce Certified Technical Architect or equivalent advanced certifications.
  • Experience in large-scale retail or e-commerce environments.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce.
