Salary: £68,000 per annum depending on skills and experience

Job Description:

The position plays a pivotal part in aligning Data & Analytics initiatives with broader enterprise goals, ensuring solutions integrate seamlessly across the organisation.

A core focus is driving the Data & Analytics Data Architecture Office, contributing to the definition, development and governance of a standard approach to the practice of data architecture across some of our largest and most complex transformation projects.

This role will also ensure we have a clear strategy and roadmap for our data layers such as storage, staging, conformed and marts including the definitions of medallion architecture into our data lakes.

Core duties:

  • You will be the custodian of the appropriate Enterprise Data Models associated with the Data & Analytics services (e.g. the Dimensional model used within BI and the Master Data model used within data management) , within the context of the overall Data & Analytics Enterprise Architecture Information and Data Models, working closely with the Data & Analytics Centre of Excellence
  • You will define what good looks like in terms of Data Architecture best practices and approaches including the creation of blue prints for conceptual, logical and physical models
  • Database development and optimization – defining our approach to data systems (warehouses & lakes) across our data & analytics landscape creating roadmaps for change towards new technologies
  • Support our large transformation projects in their data journeys, defining re-usable artifacts to generate mature data architectures within our enterprise

Essential Skills:

  • You will have an honours degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline
  • You will have a wealth of experience in an IT-related role
  • You will have specific experience and a extensive track record in Information/Data architecture development
  • You will hold general experience of information/data analysis in large scale business systems
