You will collaborate with meteorologists, climate scientists, statisticians, actuaries, and software engineers to deliver cutting-edge flood risk assessment solutions.

Your contributions will directly support decision-making for insurers managing flood risk portfolios across multiple geographies.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and enhance probabilistic hydrologic and hydraulic model components

  • Implement stochastic and catchment hydrology frameworks within Monte Carlo simulations

  • Develop large-scale flood hazard maps using geomorphological and terrain analysis principles

  • Apply computational hydrodynamics techniques, including numerical solutions of PDEs

  • Analyze and integrate hydrological, geophysical, and climate data from diverse sources

  • Contribute to climate change analytics and scenario modeling

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with scientists, engineers, and actuaries

  • Debug and improve modeling code (C++ / C#) within development environments

  • Document research findings and contribute to technical reports and publications

Qualifications

Education:

  • Master’s or PhD in Water Resources Engineering, Hydrology, Hydraulics, or a related field

Experience:

  • 4+ years of relevant industry or research experience

Technical Skills:

  • Strong fundamentals in stochastic hydrology, catchment hydrology, and open channel flow

  • Experience with probabilistic modeling frameworks (Monte Carlo simulations)

  • Knowledge of computational hydrodynamics and numerical PDE solving

  • Experience in climate change analytics

  • Hands-on experience with Machine Learning techniques

  • Advanced proficiency in R, Python, SQL, or MATLAB

  • Experience working with GIS tools (preferably ArcGIS)

  • Experience debugging C++/C# in Visual Studio
